Micropterus salmoides

The second successfully caught and photographed specimen in the Great Lakes Fish Project.  I biked to a harbor today and fished in some sailboat slips, the bass were visible but very lethargic.  They would do little more than look at my bait and then move on.  After some adjustments to tackle and presentation I landed a couple and choose the most pristine and well proportioned to photograph.  Here it is:

There were also some bluegull and a small catfish that wanted nothing to do with me, I'll have to get after them another day. The weather is looking nice this weekend, get out and fish.
